I was having very bad pain in my cheek area that I felt could only be related to a tooth, but wasn't sure even which tooth. I didn't want to go to my "normal" emergency dental place as it was already 4:30pm, and they closed at 6pm, and was on the other side of town. I almost made an appointment with them which I would have had to miss work for and would have had to wait until the next day. Luckily, Smile Hilliard popped up in my browser search and I clicked on it. When I saw their extended and flexible hours I decided to give them a call. I called and explained my problem to the girl on the phone who was so kind, positive, and understanding. She put me on hold for a second and when she returned she said they could see me at 6pm. She literally got me in there within an hour and a half! I gave her my insurance information over the phone and she said she would have it ready when I got there. I showed up a little early for my appointment, expecting to wait until my time. When I walked in she greeted me by name, like they knew me. Both women behind the desk stood up and shook my hand and introduced themselves to me. They offered me a coat hook to hang my jacket, then welcomed me through the door to a computer where I was able to enter in my health history-which was also easy by the "select all no" button. When I was done, the girl who took my insurance information already had an estimate of what my cost would be. She had all my insurance information pulled, and already had a starting base for what was going to need done. Then, I asked to use the bathroom (just coming from work) and she came from behind the counter to show me to the bathroom around the corner, showed me the toothbrushes available to use prior to the appointment, and was on her way. This was fantastic, coming from work I hadn't had time to brush my teeth prior to coming. When I exited the bathroom, someone was waiting on me already to take me to the room. She took me back and immediately started xrays. She was super nice and we discussed my problems, my dental anxiety, kids, and everything. The xrays that were done weren't even uncomfortable like at other places! Then Dr. Sanyk came in and the other assistant retold my problems for me (which is great because repeating it a million times, I always miss something!) and the Dr. looked at the xrays. They were able to find a small fracture in my tooth and immediately made up a 'treatment plan', with options that I could decide on. Dr. Sanyk said that they could even do it that evening! She also didn't judge my teeth and lack of treatment, she didn't give me a lecture about how I should be brushing better, or anything. She discussed the problem, told me what needed to be done, and was SO NICE. Before they continued, one girl from the front desk came back in to discuss the price I would responsible for after my insurance was applied and gave me the choice to continue or not. I of course chose to go ahead, as the price wasn't bad. I was nervous for the work to start as they were pretty much removing a filling and starting it over and adding medicine to it, however, they numbed my gums first. After this, I felt nothing. NOTHING. Not even the shot to further numb my mouth!!!!!!!! I NEVER have not felt that, I literally had to ask if she did that because I could feel it. Not only did it not hurt, my mouth wasn't so numb to where I was drooling or anything. While waiting for the numbing to be completely effective, we discussed my kids, my house, and she even let me share pictures of my new house, which I am totally excited about and LOVE to talk about it and share! During the work, I felt no discomfort at all. They had little "bite pads" or something that held my mouth open for me, which also helped me relax! The fixing went fast and was painless. When we were done, I was escorted to the front desk where I paid and was given a folder with my receipt, the treatment plan, information about the office, and even a coffee mug. Now I'm sure the coffee mug and folder aren't standard, and just a first time client "welcome", however, the entire experience was thee most positive dental experience I have ever had. Literally, from the time I walked in the door, to the time I walked out of the door. I can not express my gratitude for the fast, friendly, and pain free experience. I apologize that I don't remember names,...I will though, because I will be back! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
